I purchased this deadstock item about 20 years ago from a vintage clothing store.

It has no patches, and the collar has reinforcing fabric, so I believe it's from the 1940s.
It's made of thick, resilient yarn woven at a high density, making it very warm.

Items from this era often have damage such as moth holes or fraying, but this one is in excellent condition, making it a valuable item.

It's a black model that matches any fashion style.
